Nextlink Wireless, a leading provider of broadband wireless services is led by Robert E. Beran, its President and Chief Executive Officer.
Beran has spent more than 20 years in the technology and telecommunications industries. Prior to joining Nextlink he was a senior vice president at First Avenue Networks up until its merger with Fibertower. Prior to First Avenue Networks, Beran served as an advisor to several early-stage technology companies through his consulting firm. He has also participated as a founding principal in several communications-related ventures. Before that, he held senior executive management positions with General Electric and Bell Atlantic/Verizon, where he developed and led several business units in telecom, Internet, video, wireless, directory publishing and information services sectors.
Tim Dunne leads Nextlink's product and channel management, marketing and service delivery initiatives as Vice President of Business Operations. Dunne comes to Nextlink from RCN, where he was Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer. Previously, Dunne filled several senior leadership positions at Nextel, including Vice President of digital media and business development and Vice President of e-business and business development. Earlier in his career, he spent over 14 years at Verizon/Bell Atlantic, where he helped launch new business units, joint ventures, corporate development initiatives and products.
Chet Kudtarkar brings more than 25 years of experience to his role as Vice President of Finance and Administration. He oversees finance, corporate development, vendor management and IT for the company. His background spans finance, planning, analysis, business development, implementation and program management at service providers including XO Communications and MCI. At MCI, he was an early-stage contributor to MCIMetro, where he negotiated all interconnection agreements with the incumbent local exchange carriers.
Mike Lanza is Nextlink's Vice President of National Account Sales and has spent 35 years in the telecommunications industry working for various competitive communications companies. Prior to joining Nextlink, Mike was a Vice President, Sales with First Avenue Networks. Mike has also worked with AT&T, Teleport Communications Group (TCG), Metropolitan Fiber Systems (MFS), Level 3 and Con Edison Communications in a variety of sales, operations, engineering and general management positions.
Bruce Wagner, Vice President of Operations brings nearly 20 years of telecom sales and operations management experience to Nextlink, where he runs the organization responsible for ensuring the successful deployment and operations of its networks. Bruce most recently served as a consultant at First Avenue Networks, where he helped build their real estate and field functions and oversaw deployment of fixed wireless networks in the company's first markets. Prior to First Avenue, Wagner held senior executive management roles spanning sales, real estate and field operations, and network provisioning at MCI, Cogent Communications and Teligent.
Denise Clayton, Vice President and General Counsel brings over 18 years of legal experience in the area of communications to Nextlink. Her legal experience ranges from working with the Public Utilities Commission for the State of Ohio for over four years to five years of groundbreaking telecommunications and public utilities work with one of the leading law firms in Columbus, Ohio. She has been with XO and Nextlink since 1997 in a variety of leadership positions within the Legal Department.
